Sales Manager - Mid-Atlantic USA

The Position: Based in Washington, DC you will plan, develop, manage and acquire new business and develop market share with the aim of achieving the targets set forth by the company in the budgeted year. You will manage the performance of a team of Sr. Sales Executives and inside sales support/ticketing employees, through training, development and motivation, thus ensuring maximum productivity of each member. You will ensure that procedures and products are fully understood and implemented by the entire staff. You will assist the Senior Sales Executives with presentations to clients and negotiations with customers with the objective of securing the sales event and maximizing sales revenue. You will plan, control and implement weekly sales calls to customers using these opportunities to develop, maintain and improve long term relationships. You will develop and implement an ongoing program to distribute all relevant business and commercial information within Emirates with the aim to increase the awareness of Emirates’s plans, tactical strategies, new products and services. You will ensure that existing business is retained by developing, maintaining and improving long term relationships with clients in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. You will identify and understand the features of new products and services with a view to making recommendations on marketing and sales to management. You will develop briefs on advertisements and promotions for corporate communications to launch.
Experience and Qualifications: You will be educated to a college degree level with a minimum 5 years sales and commercial experience in the airline industry. In-depth knowledge of all aspects of corporate sales and distribution systems with good negotiation/communications skills is required. You will have a high degree of initiative and good planning skills. Must have a valid USA drivers license.
