Title - Marketing and Sales Associate

Location: Boston, MA    

Responsibilities/ Duties: This position is responsible for passenger revenue performance for all long distance and corridor trains in their geographic territory. The incumbent is responsible for achieving revenue and ridership objectives through corporate sales, travel agency sales and account management. This position is also responsible for local grass roots marketing partnerships including, but not limited to business building with Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chambers of Commerce, and various associations. The incumbent will report to their respective regional Director-Marketing. The individual should have a strong knowledge of the local markets of responsibility. The incumbent should have access to local resources and the knowledge to stimulate point-to-point, business and leisure traffic through Amtrak brand awareness campaigns.

Work Experience: Must have demonstrated experience in marketing and sales in the travel industry working with travel agents and corporate accounts in order to meet and/or exceed sales goals. Prefer candidate with recent experience in outside sales and in working independently with minimal supervision and the ability to manage multiple demands and competitive environment. Prior satisfactory job performance is required. Must have recent work experience in building business through local grass roots efforts; demonstrated ability to produce positive revenue results in a competitive environment. Must possess technical aptitude in all areas of MS Office.

Education: Must have a Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education, work experience and training.  Preferred education: Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration

Communication and Interpersonal Skill: Candidate must be articulate in the written and spoken word; must be able to work autonomously and in a team environment.

$57,000 - $72,000 **8.5% Geo pay will be added to this base salary
