General Description: Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals by developing, executing and implementing account strategy. Directly accountable for revenue production from assigned accounts in a geographic area. Promotes BPCL to accounts through on-site sales calls, telephone, and written communication.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Develop and execute an account strategy within a geographic territory within Florida.
  • Meet and exceed established sales goals.
  • Maintain strong and effective long-term relationships that are consistent and continue to grow with company objectives.
  • Foot-forward’ approach to sales with an ability to listen keenly and provide solutions for customers.
  • Ability to shift agency issues into a business opportunity with a win-win service recovery approach.
  • Lead/participate in trade shows, seminars, shipboard luncheons, and industry events as needed.
  • Negotiate group quotes and contracts to be consistent with revenue needs.
  • Plan and oversee marketing initiatives and sales plans with partners and report results to management.
  • Ensure execution of travel advisory training, sales, and business plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed agency database using the CRM system.
  • Maintain a routine of 20 in-person sales calls per week and no fewer than 5 remote sales calls per day. Education Requirements, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relationship-sales experience including a track record of revenue growth
  • Experience in cruise and/or travel industry preferred.

Knowledge: 

  • Must have existing and comprehensive knowledge and contacts at key travel agencies and tour operators in the territory.
  • Strong knowledge of Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line product.
  • Must be able to follow established sales methodologies
  • Must be fully equipped to work with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must have knowledge and experience using web-based presentation tools such as Zoom, WebEx and Got Webinar.

Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills including public speaking
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and operate in a fast-changing environment.
  • Must possess planning, budgeting, business management and analytical/forecasting skills
  • Must be able to thoughtfully discuss a business plan with customers.

Abilities

  • Must possess sufficiently strong presentation skills to move an audience to desire to learn more about the product.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently and work nights and weekends
  • Self-starter, team player and able to work independently
  • Must possess planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business management skills
  • Must have a car and possess a valid driver’s license.
